Napier Lane — Wooden Boardwalk, Load Limits
Napier Lane is a one-block unpaved wooden boardwalk connecting Filbert and Greenwich Streets — one of the last of its kind in the city. The wooden surface has structural load limits that prevent any wheeled equipment heavier than a standard hand truck. Vehicle parking on these blocks requires wheel chocking and is time-limited. Crew anchor positioning on steep carries is standard protocol — this is not improvised on the day.
Telegraph Hill Boulevard — Coit Tower Road
Telegraph Hill Boulevard is the only vehicle road to the summit — and it passes through a city-maintained park area with restricted commercial vehicle access. Bystroff Relocation Management coordinates SFMTA permits and park access authorization for all projects requiring summit access. Vehicle size restrictions on the Boulevard are assessed in advance — not all equipment can physically navigate the road's upper curves.
