White glove relocation is not a standard full-service move with better materials and a premium label. The difference is what has already been decided before the first item is wrapped: who owns the project, which pieces require documentation or crating, how the buildings will be accessed, and where everything belongs at the destination.
If those decisions are left for the crew to make on arrival, the project was not properly scoped.
Additions are handled through a written change order—not introduced at the destination.

This service is built for projects where damage, access mistakes or an improvised delivery plan would be expensive to correct.
It is a fit for finished residences, controlled buildings, active commercial spaces and long-distance relocations involving art, glass, stone, designer furniture or other pieces that cannot be treated as ordinary household goods.
It is not designed for labor-only requests, a few boxes or the lowest hourly bid.
In a finished home, protection begins with the property—not only the furniture. Floors, stairs, doors and working paths are addressed before removal starts.
Listed pieces are documented, disassembled where required and assigned the appropriate packing method. At the destination, furniture is reassembled and placed by room so the residence can be recovered deliberately rather than left as a collection of wrapped items in the entryway.
An office, studio, showroom or workshop often has a harder deadline than a residence: the space may need to reopen the following morning.
The plan therefore begins with building access, elevator windows, work zones and the final position of FF&E. Delivery is completed against that plan, with items placed in their intended rooms, bays or installation points instead of being staged indefinitely in corridors.
Designer receiving, showroom-to-client delivery, warehouse-to-install and vendor-to-site work may not resemble a household move, but the standard is the same.
Condition is recorded at custody points. Finished goods are separated from incompatible freight. Placement or installation is performed only when included in the scope, and the project closes with a documented receiving sign-off—not when the truck reaches the curb.
There is no responsible white-glove price without seeing the contents and the access conditions.

Coordination is part of the project price and appears in the estimate. We do not advertise a fictional “starting at” number for work that has not been surveyed.
Begin with a video inventory or an on-site walkthrough.
The survey is completed by video or on site. We record the rooms, larger pieces, fragile contents and access conditions at both addresses. Items requiring crates or specialty handling are identified individually.
A price ceiling is not prepared from a phone description such as “a three-bedroom house.”
For interstate projects, the licensed motor carrier issues the applicable binding estimate after the inventory has been reviewed. Moves performed entirely within California use a written Not-to-Exceed amount under applicable BHGS requirements.
The paperwork states what is included, what is excluded and which circumstances require written approval. A client-requested addition can change the scope; an unexpectedly long workday does not quietly replace the signed price after loading.
Packing is designed around the inventory before service day.
Each listed piece receives a defined treatment: carton, soft pack, rigid protection or custom crate. Fragile and oversized items are not left to a last-minute decision between a blanket and an available space on the truck.
Materials required for the approved inventory remain within the quoted scope. More detail is available under Premium Packing.
The coordinator handles the operating requirements surrounding the move: certificates of insurance, freight-elevator reservations, approved work hours, curb restrictions and parking arrangements.
Local access details may vary by building and city. The service standard does not.
The estimate identifies whether transportation is dedicated or combined.
The motor carrier operates under its own state or federal authority and insurance. The delivery window, tracking arrangement and planned delivery crew are established before departure—including whether the origin crew continues with the shipment or a named receiving crew completes the destination work.

Delivery is not complete when everything crosses the threshold.
Listed furniture is reassembled. Pieces are placed according to the room plan. Approved unpacking is completed, used materials are removed, and the project ends with a walkthrough and receiving sign-off.
Claims contacts, coverage terms and reporting deadlines remain in the project paperwork—not in a message thread that begins after the crew leaves.
